Last weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting a storytelling session at the children’s literature Festival, the South Ken Kids Festival at the French Institute!
Through the amazing French book C’est mon arbre by Oliver Tallec, children didn’t just listen… they experienced the language. They joined in, repeated words, shared their opinion about the story... All while learning and practising French in a natural, playful way!
Why Storytelling Matters?
Storytelling brings language learning to life. It helps children:
- Learn new words in context
- Build confidence through participation
- Develop listening and comprehension skills
Most importantly, it makes learning French enjoyable and memorable.

Do you want to experience it?
Our next Storytelling workshop is on Monday 30th! Join us at the French bookshop Libraire La Page
